Shifurah Nabirye, 12 years
Wants to be a Netballer and a human rights advocat
Sifurah came to my rescue 5 years back when her parents who had migrated from Eastern Uganda to Central Uganda died of HIV.
The church where her parents used to go for prayers in Madudu town is where I also used to go for prayers, and that's where I met Shifurah. Together with her two elder brothers, they were living in terrible conditions, no clothing, accommodation, poor health, and no access to education.
I requested the village Church leaders to hand over Shifurah the youngest of all and I take care of her. Actually, briefly I would say, Shifurah is the kid I started with at sebadan orphanage center and this number has gone on to increase up to 19, the current number I take care of.

Shukuran came to my attention after the local radio station announced that there were some kids who were living in terrible conditions and needed rescue. It's at this point that i got her.
